Ashley Chu

Ashley Chu is a former classroom teacher passionate about teaching children how to read using science-based reading practices through fun and engaging lessons. She has taught preschool through 1st grade in San Francisco and in Washington, DC. She believes literacy is the key to equity, and enjoys finding and sharing diverse children's books. She earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from UCLA and an Ed.M. in Education Policy & Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She currently lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two children, who she loves to bake, hike, and of course read with!
