Ashley Teal

My name is Ashley Teal. I hold a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (PreK-4th) and completed my master’s degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Literacy. Since beginning my professional career, I have worked in various grade levels (kindergarten, first, third, fourth, and fifth), as well as a long-term reading specialist. Most recently, I have spent the past five years teaching first grade at a rural school in central Pennsylvania. I feel strongly that a child should have some degree of say/choice in their education. Therefore, I like to make sure to focus on the specific interests and skill set of the student to provide individualized instruction that they find meaningful, engaging, and rewarding. My goal is to help my students develop the skills they will carry with them throughout their academic career!
