Carrie Christy

My name is Carrie Christy, and I am excited to be working with Everest Scholars. I have a strong desire to utilize my 23 years of experience as a teacher in grades 3-8 to continue to assist students in reaching their academic potential.  

I believe that a teacher should meet students where they are, celebrate the strengths they have, work with them to strengthen skills/strategies that need work, and challenge them to take what they have learned to the next level while having fun along the way. My passions are reading and math instruction in addition to crafting, reading and traveling. I am also passionate about volunteering. I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies at California State University, Fullerton and my M.A. in Education from California State University, San Marcos. My masters degree program included an emphasis in literacy education.
